Thank you so much to Dr. Kayla Black and Dr. Tricia Prokop for their educational session, “A Coaching Approach to Supporting Learning and Professional Development in the Clinic” for the Fall, 2024 Clinical Faculty Institute. Taking place this year at the beautiful Franklin Pierce University Rindge, NH campus, the session was a resounding success for our members. Dr. Black and Dr. Prokop did an amazing job in highlighing a coaching approach to clinical education, integrating contemporary learning theories and practical strategies including the Master Adaptive Learner, Empathetic Listening, and “15% Solutions”. In addition to the session, two CIs were recognized as “Clinical Educators of the Year”. These outstanding clinical teachers were Dr. Monica McCardle, PT, DPT, OCS (pictured below) and Dr. Katelyn St. Peter, PT, DPT.
